Once Upon a Time...
I know you can relate to the struggle of life as we’ve all battled with it, or are battling with it. Thanks to @glennondoyle’s book #lovewarrior I changed my perspective on the pain. What if it was here to teach me, and even more importantly wasn’t it about time I stopped acting like #wonderwoman, became vulnerable and let those closest to me know just how much I was holding onto?
Once upon a time I got sick of trying to make life the fairytale it most definitely wasn’t. No matter how much I dreamt of everything falling into place it just didn’t. So I stopped aiming for the stars and started being mindful of what I could do just for today. That’s when every day began to feel like I was achieving. Every day includes steps towards my dream life PLUS I quite giving myself a hard time that it hadn’t happened yesterday!
I feel quite old at times. My mum didn’t make it to my age and my kids are the age I like to think I am until my body reminds me otherwise! The healthy thing though is my heart doesn’t feel old despite traversing the wonderlands of acknowledging my emotional and mental pain.
And that’s the truth we all need to hear. Facing the pain doesn’t leave you more wrecked. It’s the bringer of love, light, more life and increase of all good things in our life, today. Grab the kleenex, journal it out, and let’s do this life together.
